The process of dehydration
Dehydration is a normal physiological process that the body goes through when it does not recover the water and electrolytes it has lost due to sweating.
Depending on the amount of water and electrolytes lost and not recovered, we can enter different degrees of dehydration that have different consequences:
- 1-2% - Altered thermoregulation: The body is unable to properly dissipate the heat generated inside it.
- 2-4% - Reduction in muscular endurance time: Muscles can last less time performing a given exercise without fatigue.
- 4-6% - Reduction in muscle strength and appearance of muscle cramps: muscle fatigue begins to appear, giving warning signs
- 6-8%: Severe or limiting muscle cramps, heat stroke, fainting: completely limiting consequences for sports performance that force the athlete to abandon the sport.

What is a personalized hydration plan?
It's a specific plan that will tell you what products to eat, when, and how during your athletic goal. For example, if you're running a marathon, the plan will specify which sports nutrition products to eat before the race, then which products to eat during the marathon, spaced out over time according to your physiological needs, and finally, the products you'll need afterward for recovery. In all cases, it will specify the amount of salt each product provides and the carbohydrates per hour provided by the plan. The plan takes into account the data we obtained by analyzing your sweat with our Sweatracker, your preferences, tastes, and goals.
Does the hydration plan include the recommended products?
No, each plan recommends products and provides the necessary information for your purchase, but they are not included in the price of our service. Of course, you can purchase them however you prefer.
Why doesn't my hydration plan include any products from my preferred brand?
Our goal is to adapt 100% to the athlete, providing plans that perfectly fit their specific physiological needs.
When developing your personalized hydration plan, we analyze various individual factors, such as your physical activity level, performance goals, hydration needs, and personal preferences. While we may approve certain products from your preferred brand, they may not be the best fit for your specific needs.
We want to ensure that every component of your hydration plan offers you the maximum possible benefits. Therefore, your plan may include products from other brands that we consider more suitable for you. Our priority is your well-being and optimal performance, so we carefully select the products that best suit your needs.
How many plans does the subscription include?
With a premium subscription, you can create as many hydration plans as you need. There's no limit to the number, but they'll always be for the same sport.
If you're going to use one of our plans in a competition, we always recommend that you test the products first in training. This way, you can ensure that the recommended products are comfortable for your body and that you can use them safely in competition.
Does this plan cover the carbohydrate intake I need during a competition?
No. Our plans include the sports hydration products you'll need during the competition. These products are typically composed of electrolytes and carbohydrates, but these products alone won't provide the full amount you need for your competition. To do this, you should consult a nutritionist to design a nutrition plan that meets your needs. However, all our hydration plans indicate the amount of carbohydrates you'll be consuming per hour if you follow our plan.
Can I reuse a SweaTracker?
Patches are single-use only. You can follow the recycling recommendations after use.
Can I use the SweaTracker in different disciplines?
The sweat profile of an athlete often varies from one sport to another due to various factors, such as the environmental conditions in which each discipline is practiced (thermoregulation, or lowering body temperature, is much more efficient when cycling than when running, for example), their level of fitness, and their diet, among others. Therefore, a complete sweat analysis should be performed for each sport in order to develop a personalized hydration plan.
For an accurate estimate of salt loss in competition, data from three training sessions in each discipline are needed.
ATTENTION: The SweaTracker cannot be used when swimming or participating in water sports where the SweaTracker could get wet.
Why is the refill pack 2 SweaTrackers?
Since you've already used the Welcome Pack and 3 SweaTrackers to create and complete your sweat profile, or SWEATPROFILE, with the refill pack, we'll update your data and observe how your sweat composition has changed, thus updating our databases with your new hydration needs. With these 2 SweaTrackers, we'll have enough information to continue designing updated and completely personalized hydration plans.
SweaTracker Validity: When to Renew?
The data obtained by our SweaTrackers is valid for three months. During this time, we ensure we are providing accurate hydration plans tailored to your physiological needs. After three months, your sweat profile may vary, both due to changes in environmental conditions and changes in your fitness level. Therefore, it is recommended to perform the sweat analysis again, especially for athletes who compete at different times of the year.
What if I can't weigh myself immediately after finishing my workout?
While it's ideal to do this immediately after finishing your workout to obtain accurate data on sweat loss and appropriately adjust your hydration plan, we understand that this isn't always possible. If you can't weigh yourself immediately after finishing your workout, don't worry; save your workout data using the "Save as Draft" button. You can then edit this workout's data in the "My Workouts" menu by clicking the pencil icon for that saved workout.
What happens if I don't have my phone with me during training?
If you don't have your phone with you during your workout, don't worry. The most important thing is to collect the SweaTracker data as soon as possible after completing your activity. Data such as elevation gain, distance traveled, and your weight are especially important and should be entered into the app as soon as possible to maintain the accuracy of your sweat profile and hydration plan. You can get this from smartwatches or tracking devices, for example.
However, if you can't enter this data immediately, the app allows you to modify it later. Just be sure to remember or write down the essential details of your workout so you can adjust them appropriately.
